How much economy should we aim for by lvl 20?

well if you look up the list i am lv 18-19 and at 500-600 eco i think at level 20 you are looking to have around:

600-700 eco
50k-80k Research
100+ fleet
disrupter turrets
deflector shields

Alot i know but if done correctly you will be hard to beat and enemys will think twice about attack you.
